It was a violent sight at San Francisco International airport on July 6, as an Asiana Airlines Boeing 777 passenger plane coming from Seoul, South Korea crashed on the runway, causing a ghastly fire and horrific damage to the aircraft.

Boeing 777 Crash Lands In San Francisco

The aircraft is believed to be carrying hundreds of passengers — it’s maximum capacity is 450 — but the extent of injuries on the plane are still unknown.
Other people waiting for their flights at San Francisco International became eyewitnesses to this horrifying event, as the plane spun violently across the runway. A huge cloud of black smoke could be seen for miles from the crash site.
“I just saw a plane crash start to finish. I can’t stop crying, I can’t believe this,” onlooker Danielle Wells tweeted. Other eyewitnesses reported that the plane’s tail appeared to tear off before skidding to a stop. The ceiling of the plane was burnt completely off, according to CNN. Rescue workers hurried to the burning plane and passengers were seen evacuating the aircraft via inflatable slides.
There allegedly were no precautions made for a crash landing, according to CNN, meaning that an issue must have arisen just moments before landing.
The plane reportedly left South Korea 12 hours prior to the accident, and was due to land at 9:45 AM PT.
Again, there is no word yet if any passengers sustained injuries,  Our thoughts are with all those involved, as well as their friends and family.
